In presenting the award, the Provincial Grand Master congratulated W.Bro. Brian on his 26 years of service to the Order and thanked him for the many years he had spent as Scribe of the Lodge. Brian joined Hipperholme Lodge of Royal Ark Mariners in January 1989, attaining the Chair in 1997 and receiving Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank in 1995.

The Provincial Grand Master also explained that the award consisted of a silvered West Yorkshire Mark Token, mounted in silver and attached to a Royal Ark Mariner ribbon as a breast jewel. Only 6 other brethren in the Province currently hold the award, which should be worn at all Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Meetings in the Province.

He also announced that the status of the award would be raised still further this year when, at the Annual Provincial Grand Royal Ark Mariner Assembly in October, he would be asking for recipients to be saluted separately, before the holders of Provincial Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank, when they are present at our Royal Ark Mariner Lodge meetings.

Congratulations Brian on such a significant achievement
