Season’s Greetings from the Provincial Grand Master

To all Mark Master Masons and Royal Ark Mariners who access this web site over the festive season, I wish you and your families a very merry Christmas and a happy, peaceful, but most of all a very healthy and successful New Year.

2014 has been a busy year. Amongst the many other events held across the Province we have seen a celebration for our four Past Provincial Grand Masters in January, a new Banner for Beaumont Mark Lodge in March, a Centenary celebration for Rother Mark in May and a Keystone Dedication for the same Lodge in October. Our Annual Provincial Meeting in April saw a record number of Brethren dining together at Bradford Grammar School and a very successful Carol Service was held on 14 December. Five Escorted Visits have also been made to Thorne, Old York, Lascelles, Cleeves and Copley Mark Lodges. Provincial social activities have included two Ladies Sunday Lunches, two Musical evenings and a Family Garden Fete, and our Charity, the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust, have once again held two very successful Almoners’ Lunches and organised a holiday in Llandudno.

On 27 November we saw the appointment and Installation of new Deputy and Assistant Provincial Grand Masters. I welcome W.Bros. Richard Puttrell and Dr. Rod Taylor to the team and wish our retiring Rulers, V.W.Bros. Robert Corfield and John Fred Clough my very sincere thanks for a job well done and every success for the future.

My thanks must, above all, go to all Brethren of the Province who have contributed to its success and progress over the last year: my Co-Rulers, our Past Rulers, the Secretarial and Director of Ceremonies teams, the Installed Masters’ Associations, the Provincial Social Committee, 250 Club organisers, the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust, our Grand and Provincial Grand Officers and the Masters, Wardens, Officers and Brethren of all Lodges in the Province. Mark and Royal Ark Mariner Freemasonry in West Yorkshire could not have made the progress it has without you.

I hope that you have enjoyed your association with our Orders as much as I have during the year and I look forward to working with you all again in 2015 and to serving this wonderful Province of West Yorkshire for many years to come.

My compliments of the season to you all.
