The South Yorkshire Association of Installed Masters AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the South Yorkshire Association of Installed Masters took place on Wednesday 3 September at Tapton Masonic Hall  There were 54 Mark Masons present from across the Province including Representatives from both the Leeds and District and the Huddersfield , Halifax & Districts Installed Masters Associations.

The Meeting was formally opened by the President, W.Bro. David Spivey and, after the usual formalities, sadly including a number in the obituary report, he gave his address. He had undoubtedly represented the Association with enthusiasm during his year, with numerous visits to Lodges in Sister Associations. These he had much enjoyed and he emphasised that this must be built upon. To that end, all Representatives are now being encouraged to attend at least two Association visits, if possible accompanied by the Worshipful Master and Wardens of their Lodge. They should actively promote the Association and remind their Worshipful Masters to visit other Lodges when possible. To further this ambition a meeting of all South Yorkshire Association Representatives will be convened in January to assess and review progress.  To encourage a good attendance it is planned that a pie and pea supper will be served.

A very singular honour for the latter as it is the first time in its history, all 120 years plus, that Integrity Lodge has had a member become a Ruler.
