This was the latest in a series of successful concerts put together by W.Bro. Whitworth to benefit the Cleeves & Whitehead Trust, our own Mark Charity in the Province of West Yorkshire.

The first half of the show featured W. Bro. John Whitworth who performed a selection of popular songs from the past decades up to the present. He was also joined for the first time by Miss Susan Clark, a student from Wakefield College, as they performed a number of excellent duets. There were other enthusiastic guests who joined W.Bro. John on stage to perform comical and good natured songs.

At the end of a truly memorable evening W.Bro. John presented a cheque for £1,050, raised on the night, to W.Bro. Trevor Bolton, Chairman of Trustees of the Cleeves and Whitehead Trust.  This brings the total raised for this very worthy cause by these concerts to more than £6,000 and saw the total raised by W. Bro. John Whitworth for Charity over the past 20 years break through £100,000 – a truly remarkable achievement.

W.Bro. John has also produced a CD of his most popular songs entitled “The story of my life” which sold like hot cakes. The cost of this excellent, professionally performed and produced CD, is only £5 of which half goes as a donation to the Cleeves & Whitehead Trust.  The CD can be obtained through W. Bro. John Whitworth and will be available for sale at the annual meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons, West Yorkshire at Bradford, on Saturday, the 26th April, 2014 at Bradford Grammar School.

Future concerts are planned at the same venue on Saturday the 27th September, ‘The Mary Jordan Memorial Concert’ and Saturday, the 8th November 2014 in aid of the Cleeves & Whitehead Trust. These concerts will feature new songs, please come along and enjoy the evenings, have a good time and aid good causes, but book early, they sell out very quickly. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
